This table and both benches are approx 2 metres long and would easily accommodate 3 adults either side and even an extra adult either end on a separate chair or matching style bench which can be made to order, therefore accommodating 8 adults!
The table is about 1.2 metres wide, so big enough as a full dining area with room for drinks & side dishes & condiments with comfort.
The dark structure is an external spray-on stain including the table top which is then harshly sanded to obtain a distressed look and then repainted using clear satin stain.
This clear stain provides a mild sheen and further protection.
The table & bench tops are recycled scaffold boards and the remaining structure is made from incised fencing materials.
Alternative table tops such as a decorative timber (hard or soft wood) or a mosaic finish can be used but the boards shown are the basic & cheapest option.
A foot rest is built in as the pictures show and a protective water proof cover added to the bottom of all feet.
All carpentry joints are traditionally achieved.
The separate benches can be detached and placed in another location if desired, making the whole design a versatile set of units.
